Elasticated to fit fat gits like me.
Got one in Black, Blue and now Wine. Comfortable, clean looking and a goodish lenght.
When I find digicamera charger, I will post pics.

Interesting - Very Interesting !
I like this style of skirt - if done in a tartan pattern could pass for a short kilt.
The seller does not have a size chart so I presume that you got one in one of the larger size range.
Does the waist band have all an around elastic ?
How much does your's stretch (Unstretched & Stretched) ?
The Hem length is not noted - What is the hem length on your skirt ?
One detraction is - - - Shipping: Not Available to United States
But if the price is right maybe they could reconsider their shipping policy.

Is this one of those things advertized as kilts but which turn out to be G-strings with a tiny tartan apron?
E-bay told me they could not show me whataver was hiding behind the URL you gave us, as it might offend people in my country.

couyalair:

No these are not -G- string kilts.
Those things of course would be restricted to adults only auction items.

Using this Direct LINK to see what Gregg1100 won in auction:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/220905981103?va ... K:MEWAX:IT

or in the ebay Search field paste this:

Girls All Round Box Pleat School Skirt art no 7052 (220905981103)

That is the item that Gregg1100 won in auction.
Waiting for his measurement of the size he got - presuming the hem length to be around 16 inches and the waist at maybe 30-32 ???

Now back to the things that ebay told you they could not show because it might offend someone in your country.
The workaround to that when you are logged into ebay in the upper left corner of the site is a tab marked Categories.
OK click on that and a new window opens with a listing of all categories.
Now go the bottom right center of that page - - -
Under the sub-category - "Everything Else" is Adult Only.
Click on that and you better be old enough (LOL) because you are now in the forbidden area of ebay sales.
Over 500k of all kinds of adult stuff - on the left margin is a sub category to proceed to do in depth search.

If some reason this does work - to unlock this you need a paypal account with credit card which ebay and paypal will acknowledge as
being the key to adult admittance to this area. There is no charge or fee for this it is just presumed that the young folks (who know more
about these things than I do) do not have credit cards and paypal accounts. And the farmer hauled another load away !

Hope this clears things up for up.

Hmmm... not sure why ebay had a problem with that, the image looks like this:

Image

and is described as "Girls all round box pleated school skirt".

Have fun,

Ian.

Maybe a tartan item similiar to this leather one was what couyalair was referring to ebay item number:

380408274538

You would be caught DEAD if you wore this outside in the UK today weather being what it is !

Another box pleated skirt on the bay;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Edinburgh-red ... 3a6fe1f1e3
Edinburgh type tartan.

My new skirt will go to 43" waist from 21"unstretched-while still retaining shape. It it 21" long, fromtop of elastic to end of skirt. Just covers my kneecaps. Ask for a 17-18 years old fit. I am a 40" waist, with oceans of extra width to use, .
It will be 225g in a jiffybag.
If you can find out postage from Cwmbran, Wales to your address,-- see if it compares with what you can get over there, -weigh it up, and if you want one, give me a shout.
The French Car Forum of which I am a member, has its own delivery service. If one of us buys spares from one part of the country, especially second hand, there is someone somewhere near who could relay it nearer to another, and so on till it gets to you. Something like this could be set up here, only with saving postage as the main concern. Too many shops can't be bothered to sell abroad,- obviously don't need the money. Certainly some places where I would not send hated bankers or politicians, let alone goods, or wouldn't I.

Talking of leather skirts, here's a quite a mazing example. I'm not svelte enough for this, though.

see r.m.anderson just a bit up. Or was he referring to things just being leather? Not sure.

purecotton:

A misunderstanding of sorts - - - couyalair was questioning if this was a g string type kilt.
At the moment I could only find a leather mini-kilt g string for graphic reference.
Not same thing - apples and oranges comparison.

Gregg1100:

Thanks the measurements provided were great - Waist wise I am in the same field as you - as for the hem length; well that
is another thing. I like the skirts a bit shorter. Not as short of some I have bought from this link:
http://www.sisterfunbunny.com/
Sisterfunbunny goes so short that you definitely must have a supporting clause in your contract (undersomething) !!!
Hers are 10-12 inches and your supplier is 21 - about half way in between is right for me at 15-16 inches (still need the contract) !
Funbunny is offering tartans that are great - but I also like the solids.
After researching the site in depth they have the full length box pleated skirts similiar or same as yours and they do ship to the USA.
Priced just a tad higher.
Thanks again for your measurements and even if I do not order from your supplier and ship thru you or Milfmog, who PM with an
offer, others on the forum may find this of use.
Comment: - what a strange way to measure sizes 17-18 years instead of an actual numerical size - unless they actually meant
UK size 17-18 which is just about your measurement.

Probably a 17-18 yeargirl/young lady would find this sizing fits fine. Over here , our kids are measured in their age groups. Just different ways. :D
You could always hitch the skirt up a bit higher around your waste, lol.

Yes RMA I have come across he funbunny site - some very short skirts there!

However, I do like to have pockets in mine so many are automatically ruled out - though there are a few nice denim ones there... :D 8)

Wonder what a mini-kilt would be like? On another forum there was reported a man in normal shirt/tie/suit jacket on the top half and a tiny mini-kilt for the bottom half - and that was in Edinburgh! :D Wonder who he was?
