Over the years, use of colour in men's wardrobes has waxed and waned; this has varied from what might be viewed as extravagant excesses in the Renaissance to the very drab male uniform of today where pretty much the only place where vibrant colour is allowed is neckties. I find this sad, because colour is a wonderful way to communicate in a non-verbal manner -- what you wear, and when you wea it, can actually say something about your state of mind and how one is feeling. It's a shame that current "fashion" seems to disallow that.

As far as "boy colours" and "girl colours" are concerned I suspect that all of us here know that is a fallacy, and not only is it a fallacy but it's a fallacy that has completely reversed itself in the not-too-distant past. The enlightened should be able to throw that old mantle off and get on with their lives.

I believe that the customary old school color for boys was PINK (derivative of RED) and that baby blue was for the fair sex.
