My good lady wife is struggling a little to come to terms with the idea that her man is of the skirty persuasion (it took me by surprise, to be honest), but has declared the kilt to be acceptable. So, it was with some trepidation that I donned my very first non-rental kilt last night. It's an everyday sort of kilt, in Black Watch tartan: just the sort of thing to be bumming around the house or office in.

The verdict?

"Sexy".

Oh women, how we love thee!

I'm taking it as a good sign, though.

I think that there are enough modern style kilts available that you can build up a collection of unbifurcated garments that are wife-friendly.
