My daughter spotted this yesterday about a New Zealand mum who bought a dress for her son and says:
"i have to say dresses should become more common for boys it def fares better than shorts/pants with no grass stains and no rips yet".

If men can wear skirts, why not boys, too?

Very cool link. I remember when I was very young, I went through a stage where I wished I could wear one. But I was quickly told that boys don't wear dresses.

Dresses for boys seemed to fall out of favor around the first World War in much of the world. I wonder if it was a desire that all boys be more "manly" and "macho", because manliness = suitability as a soldier. Not that long after men's nightshirts fell out of fashion, probably for the same reason.

But why not bring back "boy-dresses." It would be cool...sometimes in more than one sense of the word (remember, dresses and skirts = a natural, eco-friendly air conditioning) I must say I like the mother's open thinking.

Richard A;

Your link shows many updated views. I saw a pic from
1985, 2006 & 2007. All quite good, tasteful designs.

This should be able to carry over into adult hood.
I wonder if any of the kids in the photos continued to
dress the same in their adult lives :?:

I really like those pictures. I wonder if their is any chance of adapting those types of dresses and skirts for a [good looking] Young Adult like me.
