Here's a picture of real fashion equality that it would be nice to achieve.
What a wonederful world it would be, as one song puts.

I don't see equality. I see a group of people who are attired in skirts.

There is nothing in this picture to say whether these are models or if there was any choice in the costume.

It is an attractive picture but offers no clue as to what is happening "behind the scenes"

Since it's a photo from neokilt.com (not neokilts.com) I would have to say it's a bunch of "models" wearing their products.

I haven't been to the sight in some time and right now I can get the site to load so I don't know I they are still in business.

I'd think it would be more of an "equality" picture if the women were all wearing trousers, as life actually IS today. Most women in real life prefer trousers over skirts as a "workplace" garment, as do a lot of non-office type men workers. In leisure time activities, women do seem to prefer pants then too. For equality, we'd have to get men "trying" and being accepting of other men wearing skirts. Then and only then that type picture could be a microcosm of real life IF the women were all wearing pants. 8)

Whilst I like the tone of the picture, I think it bears mentioning that in an equal setting, both sexes would be able to actively choose the garments they wear. Just because I wear skirts does not mean I want to give up trousers for where they are appropriate; the same thing should hold for women as well. Equality, you see, is transitive; if A = B, then it is axiomatic that B = A. If it's any other way 'round, then there's no equality involved. Ergo, if I want to assert my right to wear skirts, then I must relinquish my right to complain that women wear trousers.

Out of curiosity, from whence was the image plucked? It'd be nice to have some context.

I found this picture on a Yahoo web site called "Skirtmen" and just thought it looked nice.
It also expresses a feeling I have had since childhood.
I've spent my entire life hoping that men would discover and wear skirts, kilts, dresses, caftans, sarongs, etc. Instead women have taken on pants with a vengence and the bulk of the male population show no interest at all in skirted garments.
Sigh!
It's just my childhood dream is all!

p.s.
I have NEVER believed that people should be forced to wear anything they don't want to, wether they are male or female. I'm an anarchist at heart who believes in total freedom at all times. But that includes total responsibilty too for whatever decisions we make in life.
