Kilt-about-town

Minor bit of an update - I've been out and about in my "Utilikilts Brand Utility Kilt"(s) a bit recently.
First occasion was the chaps from Utilikilts themselves coming over to do a trade show. The report on the visit is here - http://www.utilikilts.com/?page_id=632 but you only get a picture of the back of me half way down! So, over the course of a few days that involved several trips on the tube and overground and generally out and about in the Shepherd's Bush/Earls Court area then bits of north London as I went and did bits of shopping. Got photo'd by the BBC for a programme sometime this month on guessing people's ages. Got one "nice kilt" and one chap nearly choked on his sandwich when he saw me and did a double take but apart from that, no significant reactions.
Then last weekend I went up to Redemption, a SF convention in Coventry ( http://www.conventions.org.uk/redemption/ ) so more train trips and again no negative comments and some positive attention. This time I was in the Workmans model Utilikilt - even more pockets!
Basically, if you were thinking of going out in a kilt, go for it. Hardly anyone will notice, well, anything let alone you!
(And I can also commend some knee length socks from, wait for it, TopShop which have three little buttons on the top. Look great and was complimented on those too.)
Graham.
