Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

Yes, but when a man carries out his role, must he always be wearing twin pipes when he does so?

No, not always
The 'role' of a man does not concern WHAT
he is wearing but HOW HE CONDUCTS HIMSELF
with-in his family and in public. He must set
a good example to those around him.

When asked 'Why the Kilt?'
I respond-The why is F.T.H.O.I. (For The H--- Of It)
My response, as a 66 Year Old father & grandfather, is based
on the "Traditional" sense of family. This concept is not true
in all cases. A widow/widower, raising her/his family. A single
parent household. A single person adopting a child.
There are exceptions to every 'rule' but, in general, my response
was valid. When discussing 'the role of man', my response was
not sexist or outdated nor was it implied as being as such.
