Not to go off topic but since you mentioned a wall mirror I found a solution for at least having a mirror that lets me see what I look like from straight on. This is as if I was looking at myself down low with my eye even with the hem of the skirt. Tilt the wall mirror out at the bottom. If you get the angle right you will have a view straight on of yourself. I find this useful for seeing that the hem is the same front to back. You can experiment with the angle by setting the mirror on the floor with the top against the wall. Move the bottom out to find the desired angle.
