Doing away with "Embracing feminity"
Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"
I agree with the OP and would contend that my venturing into the women's department for fashion choices would be an extension of my masculinity rather than embracing femininity. I do embrace many of those things that are arbitrarily considered to be feminine, but I embrace those things without renouncing any part of masculinity.
Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"
The underlined statement is the key element of what Men In Skirts should be about.
We are enhancing our wardrobe choices, not becoming a feminine person.
I enjoy fine fabrics but when it comes to a specific job, I'll wear what is best for that job.
If I'm working under the car/truck, I'll wear jeans to protect my legs from the concrete.
If I'm planting flowers in the back yard, which has a privacy fence, I'll choose to wear
what mother nature gave me. If I'm in any other part of my yard, I'll wear appropriate
coverings for modesty in the neighborhood.
Again, I too, embrace those things without renouncing any part of masculinity.

In an ideal world all forms of clothing would be for both genders be it skirts, dresses, pants, trousers, jeans, shirts etc. When I dress in a skirt or dress I do it because I like the design and comfort and freedom of choice it gives me. I don’t do it to try to be like a woman. If I wanted to dress like a woman I’d wear fake breasts, a wig, a bra and make up which would make me feel uncomfortable and I really wouldn’t do it. Also as a guy there is no need to wear a bra as bras were only really designed to support women’s breasts.
My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist.

I as a man wear bras with no fillers or forms. In fact, my bra cup size is DD. There are men who really should wear bras due to enlarged breasts but fail to do so.DrFishnets wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 9:20 am Also as a guy there is no need to wear a bra as bras were only really designed to support women’s breasts.

There is no need to embrace femininity or masculinity. Those terms should be banished from society! Just embrace who you are and what you want to wear and the world will be a better place.
