Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Welcome to Britain! The rules here are pretty much as they are over there. I don't know the details, but if you're out in public, you're fair game.
Well done for getting that shot: that's two in a week now! As for your anonymous subject, if you hadn't said he was wearing tights, I'd have thought he had trousers on. Maybe to do with the cross-legged position he is in, or the graininess of the picture.

Well I was in schoolhill in Aberdeen this morning skirted ( as you do ) heading to upperkirkgate, and blow me down there on the other side of the road heading in the opposite direction was a bearded chap , pipe in mouth, pretty sure it was a pipe and going through the pockets of the jacket of his skirt suit, very smart indeed I wanted to cross the road to greet him but the traffic and the fact he had a good turn of speed I had to abort the idea,I wasn't going to be uncouth by calling out so carried on my way, funny thing when I got the office I was visiting the receptionist was more interested where I purchased my brown suede skirt from then whom I was to see
I am 100% positive he is a member here

It could have been Stevie - I know he has a pipe, is bearded and works in Aberdeen. Met him too a few years ago.
Was it you?

Yup Dottie, that was me. If it was about 11:30 I was headed to my favourite cafe for a spot of lunch.
I also use that time to write and had left my pen in the office, had to borrow one. Hence the pocket search.
Thanks for the nice comments. BTW, my name is Steve, so if it happens again, just call out.
If your in this neck of the woods and fancy a chat, let me know.
Steve.

Hey Stevie, any "Sightings in the wild" lately? Or do folks really not notice?

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Hi SS
That was quite a turn up for the books.
This "folk" really strives not to notice the second takes or WTFs etc. That is, unless they are glaringly obvious.
In so doing I guess I may miss certain things of note.
Steve.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Some of the other cities are much more difficult to work out, but the 'mystery' is only part of the reason behind that series. It is also intended to set an example to transwomen; to give them the courage to lead a normal life, to get out and about and overcome their fears of appearing in public (very much akin to this forum).skirtyscot wrote:How could they call that a mystery city??? During the filming, I wore a skirt and Amanda wore trousers (she is 5' 12" and very elegant); the camera occasionally attracted attention, but nobody seemed to give either of us a second glance.

5' 12"? Interesting way to not be 6 feet tall.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Hmmm!, Haven't been there for a few years, nice "travelog".
I am the God of Hellfire! and I bring you truffles!
Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Alas, the 'Travelogue' stuttered the whole way through for me, which didn't spoil it entirely, as one could dwell longer on that amazing architecture. I have my younger son living & working there, so I know it quite well, now. I'd have no use for for Roman baths, though, other than wonder at them.
5'12....I have a nephew living in Sydney who is Tor's height, 6'6" and a couple of years ago he married and Aussie girl out there who is 5'13", or 6'1" in old money and her bare feet! In the wedding photos she's on 3" heels, making her 6'4" !!
Tom.

Unfortunately Flickr has recenty 'improved' their system so that it no longer works properly on a lot of computers. Just to rub it in, they superimpose a banner telling you that your browser isn't good enough for their system. The morons who do that sort of thing should be sacked on he spot.Kirbstone wrote:Alas, the 'Travelogue' stuttered the whole way through for me,
