some great kilt pix here, i have to hand it to the scots, they scared the crap out of the most well oiled military machine in history: the roman empire and were such hard ba****ds that they decided to wear skirts with no underwear in a freezing country with near waist high thistles!!!

i remember billy connoly saying they used some Scottish regiments to invade India, imagine standing guard at the Khyber pass and you see a big platoon of scraggly red haired men wearing skirts and a squealing octopus under each arm marching toward you

Is that kilt from Kilt This?

I'm interested in those, but I understand the apron is reversible and interchangeable, and thus unfastened on both sides. So what keeps it from blowing open? Are there actually three layers of fabric in front -- the normal overlap plus the apron, or is there a complete skirt underneath, of do you just take your chances, or what?

Also, what's back like? Plain, 1 pocket, 2 pockets, internal or external, or what?

I asked the owner of Kilt This and she wouldn't tell me. Trade secrets, I guess.

Was it special order then? Because I don't see any two-tone kilts on their site. Or do I not know where to look?

They have an etsy, an eBay, and a website. And my favorite is the two tone black with red.

Also there's one of the Pakistan eBay stores that sell a knock off.

Right, but I looked there again, and I'm still not seeing any two-toned kilts. So is your's custom or am I missing something?

I looks under Hybrid Kilts, Modern Kilts, $58 Trad. Kilt, Quality Traditional, and Wool-blend kilts.
