I was supposed to be on holiday this week but the boss decided to call me back for a dog-and-pony show being put on by a (wannabe) vendor. So, I'm wearing trousers. :(

I can't wait to go home....

Very comfy looking garment, Richard. I never heard of a "thobe" before but, Live and Learn. That would be a nice "round the house" robe. Where'd you get it? :hooray:

Khaki color cotton twill pencil skirt, white nylon underskirt, lace left on to keep the underskirt from rolling up, teal long sleeve T-shirt, dark brown heavy tights that I made into 3 garments with my scissors. They were obviously made for a shorter person than me and kept rolling down from the waist, so I cut the legs off at high thigh level and started wearing the top part as underpants. Wearing the legs as thigh highs and the space between now works perfectly for my height. Brown leather loafers and the white sox complete the outfit. I wear an underskirt with all my skirts. Keeps any rough material off my old delicately refined skin.

Which is why so many skirts come with 'built-in' slips, presumably?

On the contrary! Many folk (either gender) suffer from 'chafe' from many (most, in my case!) of the fabrics used for making tr*users! An Irish firm, "Nudescovery", make and sell pure silk Tr*user Slips (quote) "for under all tr*users" (note especially: no gender discrimination!). They also have the advantage of providing that 'extra layer' for those forced (whether by spouse, employment or 'social convention') to wear tr*users in cooler (30-35F) weather.

Indeed, I've a friend who doesn't like to wear underwear, and thus makes all her own trousers (she never wears skirts), specifically tso that they will be comfortable and not, well, chafe. (Not to shock the sensibilities of anyone else gathered around the potted palm... :-) ) Trouser-slips would be good in her case, too

Cheers,

Black T-shirt combined with two navy blue minis, and a pair of blue argyle wool kneesocks. About to throw on a pair of shoes to go outside and grab some things from the car that I forgot to bring in earlier tonight.

Blue full circle skirt, red 17 yard full underskirt, blue extra tall T-shirt, black knee socks, brown loafers. Just came in from putting out the garbage and picking up the mail. I always go out for those 2 jobs at night. Cooler, well lit yard. I've not gone to bed yet, I was at Bingo until 2 am est and haven't changed into nightshirt. I'm usually pretty well awake all night after Bingo, 'specially if I won, like last night. Won $210.00 got 3 nice comments on my skirt. Really enjoyed my evening. One interesting comment from a lady in her 90's I'd think. She said: I didn't think I'd ever see someone in a skirt with a petticoat again, I CERTAINLY didn't think it would be a man! I said, Thank you ma'am...she smiled and left. I followed her out to the parking lot. I've gotten so many more comments about my underskirts than my skirts, I've ordered 3 more. 2 whites and a royal blue one. :hide:

Sitting here in the new skirt which just arrived today (as bought off Ebay, see recent post). Knee length, polyester, A line, brown & white speckled (not impressed by the colour but it's comfy).

It's always nice to have a speckled skirt. I need to get a speckled skirt too. I have lots of fishies skirts, no speckled ones. (green with envy)...
