Seen in Cheltenham yesterday. A youngish man wearing a calf length denim skirt with navy tights which had a snowflake pattern on them.

It can't have been me - my navy tights are plain, only Father Methuselah would call me youngish, and I wasn't in Cheltenham in a calf length denim skirt until yesterday (13th Jan)! Good to know that I am not alone.

Aberdeen city centre about half an hour ago.
A middle aged man brown/tan straight midi skirt windcheater jacket and small day backpack.
Eye contact failed, he looked like he had somewhere to be.
In my time in the cafe, only my second such report, a definite rarity.
Steve.

Paddington Station yesterday. I got off the train onto platform 2 and immediately saw a man with a fedora hat and a crombie style overcoat. He had sturdy looking ankle boots with 3" heels. But what I really noticed was the lace trim of his dress at the bottom of his coat.
I passed him and said I liked his outfit which recieved an appreciative nod. From the front I could see his coat was open and he was wearing a lace dress.
It's not unusual London, you do see the occasional well dressed man, not often but more than Reading.

This reminds me I see a chap in black utili kilt walking purposely down Southampton Street. He had a walk like. I'm doing this and nobody is stopping me!

Perhaps this was his first venture out in public in a skirted rig. :?:

I think so Grok. It takes a lot of courage to go out in a skirt for the first time.

Seen this noon (27th January) crossing the road at the junction of Magdalen St and Magpie Rd in Norwich, UK, a man with bright-red hair (dyed), a coat, a black light-weight mini-skirt and black-and-white horizontally striped socks/tights.

In Washington state, where I lived for many years, I would regularly visit a local mall. Over all that time, I saw a couple of instances where someone wore a utilikilt and then there were two instances where I saw a male wearing a skirt. That in over two decades of regular, almost daily visits. So . . . extremely rare.

There are a few more, right here with SC, too bad we missed you; but I confess, unless you do 'meet ups' or contra dances, etc. the open air sightings are rare. What part of the Evergreen State -- I've been out at Evergreen College; Spokane, along the River from coast to I-5 and a batch more places; Moon has been knocking off territory, and.... keep your eyes open! :D

Sorry, I should have been more specific as to location. I was referring to suburban Seattle - Bellevue to be even more specific. I think sightings in eastern WA would be even rarer. But, do not despair! A similar survey from the 70s and 80s would have yielded zero sightings. Not just non-existent, but for the most part unthinkable.

It's not often you run into a kindred soul. Today I did and have photographic proof. He and his significant other were out at my local Market Basket, and she shot this picture of the two of us. I'm the one in the constellation themed sweatshirt and svaha skirt.

Great pic!

I saw a tall chap, 6’2” with his girlfriend in a local Tesco. Pink tshirt, green camo kilt - or pleated skirt, bare legs, doc marten boots. Not a care in the world, and pretty much no reaction from anyone in the vicinity. As it should be.
