Welcome to Texas r1g0r
However, I think you've been brain-washed by the extreme left media and the movies.
What you're describing is about 0.001% of the population of Texas.
Your
"description" is offensive to, and insults the rest of the Texas population.
Some people I know would say "Them there words are fightin' words".
A Good Ol' Boy attitude
also means being kind and considerate of, and too, others.
If you see a person has a flat tire, you offer help to change the tire.
Just because someone speaks a bit slower than a 'New Yorker' does not mean they have
low intelligence. Why use a $5.00 word to describe something when a $2.50 word will
do the exact same thing
The
BLUE (Democrat Controlled) cities of Dallas, Austin and Houston,
DO NOT REPRESENT THE MAJORITY OF TEXANS
I live in a suburban city, in
Dallas County. However, I'm looking at selling my paid for home, to move to
a different county where the property taxing authority has some common sense. Last year, my property
taxes and home owners insurance topped over $9,000.00, which I can't afford any longer. Even with a
Homestead exemption and tax rates frozen when I turned 65, the 'appraised value' keeps increasing.
With these types of "taxes"
Dallas County still can't fill the potholes in the streets.
Unless you're are a millionaire, a retired person on a fixed income, can't survive in an extreme liberal
area such as Dallas, Austin or Houston.
When former President Trump was in office, I was able to build a nice, but small, savings.
When Bidenomics took over, my savings was used up in 9 or 10 months. This was just to
pay my bills and buy food. Since then, I've had to cut back on groceries and any type of
travel. I have lost 70 lbs due these cut backs. Living in
Dallas County I can't afford to drive
the 60 miles to see my grand kids. I haven't been able to get a headstone for my wife's grave.
I had to take out a loan to pay for a new HVAC system for my home. My monthly electric bill
has gone way down but with the loan payment, I'm still paying more than what I paid with
the old system.
Keep an open mind and don't insult the Texas population. You might learn something from them.
