Simple answer, whatever you damn well wish!
I had it made to simply prove that it could be achieved.
A skirt suit for a guy which does not involve a second mortgage.
It is also perfectly acceptable for wearing at the office which was another aim.
In the two years since, I have lost a bit of weight so I am currently considering having some adjustments made to the skirt.
Don't sweat the small stuff Grok, just find what works for you and run with it.
In the Herald article, I had on a black skirt and jacket with a tan waistcoat.
All separate elements but they came together adequately to form a suit by any standard too.
Women have fun with stuff like this, so should we, I certainly did and still do.

I suspect that all three garments of the Skruit may need 'taking in" to continue to look great, together as an outfit?

Skirt and waistcoat, could be easy, the jacket less so.
I am no DIY dude so that will be for a point in the future.
