Clicking these links, I am told that the pictures are unsuitable for public viewing!!!
It shows how far things have changed, if women in skirts have become so rare as to be regarded as pornographic.
Just who has decided these links were unsuitable, I do not know, but the church still holds some sway in Spain. However the message was in English, so it seems more likely it is some northamerican prudes that are making these decisions.

If the commentary is on the current trend where skirts are made short in the front and long in the back, I have seen plenty of them, and only one that actually almost worked. The rest look, at least to my eye, well, "trashy".

That having been said, I find that I prefer looks that don't scream FASHION!, but simply and humbly say "style".

I'm in North America and I didn't get the message you received Couya. It's more likely your ISP has the nanny software running. My employer blocks sites no worse than these. Who knows where they get their blacklist.

MOH has gone out for the day, to visit my eldest son in Solihull ( Midlands ) so I've just been out to do a bit of "window shopping" ( really just an excuse to get out and about in my skirt ). Dark purple opaque tights, dark blue above the knee cotton skirt and t-shirt. A warmish day today for nearly winter. Popped into ASDA ( going up the moving walkway 3 late teens/early twenties turned for a look and a little giggle walking away - couldn't have given a 5h1t about their reaction, totally puerile ) and bought a size 16 ( 34/36in waist as adjustable ) dark blue denim wrap mini skirt. I have tried it on and it's passable. I see what Mrtn means as there is just enough wrap to be comfortable - an inch less ( and having a strap for adjustment, the wider the waist the less the wrap ) and it could be .... um, very noticeable. But as it was down from £14 to £2 it was a bargain that I just couldn't resist. Would I have the nous to wear it out? Yes, probably, when the weather is a bit warmer and when I didn't have to do a lot of sitting around!

Additional comment:
I've been wearing this skirt for a couple of hours now and I've completely revised my opinions. The waistband is elasticated so it stretches when putting it on, something I didn't initially appreciate. The wrap is also more than adequate to preserve modesty. I've tried bending, sitting and other manoeuvres without displaying anything I wouldn't want to. The length is 16.5in which puts it just above my knee so a decent length. The apron is offset down an inch or so which means that the corner of the apron is below the hem of the skirt behind. This is going to be a skirt that I wear often. The only down side is that there are no pockets at all. So far from being apprehensive I am full in favour of this skirt.

16.5" and it stops just above the knee - are you 4'9"? I'm 5'10" and my 21" skirts don't quite reach my knees.

I'm 5'8" but I tend to wear my skirts lower down, more on the hips than the waist. So the hem may be an inch or so above the knee but close enough for me to think that it's knee length. The main thing is it's decent on me. Picky, picky. :D

At one extreme we have Tor (OZ) at 6'6", so I reckon he needs something like 27" to get anywhere near his knees. Next is Carl, weighing in at a relatively mild 6'4" and recently showing a helluva lot of leg under something quite short. Never saw him post one like that before.
For my sins I have a pair of tanned tree trunks to stand my 6'1" on and 24/5 inches covers all I want. Anything below the knee can stay exposed.

I just measured the green plaid one, and it's an 18-incher (as measured by my carpenters' rule).

You guys are just flummoxed because it's so rare that I post imagery that even vaguely hints that I have legs. In a way I'm somewhat surprised that nobody's made any "Dalek" comments about my penchant for very long skirts. But, I want to see if I can master this length and make it work on me -- before the legs go to seed.

Correct! Long just suits you better, if you ask me. I would never make the Dalek comment, being an aficionado of the long skirt myself. It has an elegance that shorter lengths cannot hope to emulate!

I'm about 6'5", perhaps just between 6'5" and 6'6", like Tor, and I find a 21"-22" in length hits my knees, but then again I tend to wear my skirts low on the waist, given my protruding belly fat. 21" falls to just above the knee on me.

Carl, Staya away from the sink plunger!

I must admit, I think the long look is better on you as well, however, do you have any photos of you kilted up? a kilt seems to suit most body shapes, if you can afford a "proper" kilt, rather than an off the peg or UK type. Just a thought!
