I like to go bare-foot as well, but a lot of surfaces are a bit pebbly etc, so I usually wear "chappel" stile tyre soled sandals which cover minimum foot, and can be easily kicked off once at destination.

No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service!

Living in the midwest part of the US, I have seen that sign in so many stores that something seems wrong if it isn't in the window.

Anyway, one particular convience store had that sign on it's door. There were a couple of farmers in the store, fresh from the barn, with plenty of fresh manure on their boots in the store. (It's easy to tell that it's fresh by the stench it makes.)

It was Alright for them to track about the store, but someone without shoes would be kicked out. I thought, "What's wrong with this picture? Peoples feet can't be any more dirty than those boots."

As far as barefooting, it's kind of an unwritten rule in our home that shoes and socks come off when we enter.

The sign said: No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service!
Where I live, the Florida Keys, with a yearly mean average temperature of 90F. That sign would soon be replaced by this sign>> "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE"
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

You can try the website Birthdayshoes.com , it's a site based on barefoot/minimalist shoes. Most posts are about the Vibram fivefingers, but quite a bit are true barefoot discussions.
