I have two running skirts that I use for jogging or around the house. One from Nike (blue) and Avia (black). Both have attached lycra shorts that I am fine with, but would like to try one with the briefs instead. I'm a little shy to go for one with nothing as I dont have any apropriate running undies

You can solve the problem of undies by wearing a Skort (Skirt with built in undies).
That way you can wear almost as short as skirt as possible without exposure and full support.
There are those purists who do not like skorts but this is a passable solution.
Easily found in the USA maybe not so much in the UK.
There is always ebay the universal wish book.....for pictures and illustrations.
I like them and have several in colors; patterns and lengths.
Great for riding bicycles.

Hi - this is just a suggestion.......

The blue outfit looks good, but I'd wear the skirt lower in the back.
As it is, the hem is lower in the front/higher in the back. If one were
to bend down/over, you'ld really have a great "Southern Exposure"

The other two outfits seem OK. The last one is way to short for my tastes.
The middle one is to much on the 'fem' side. Then, maybe I'm stuck in
a rut. I love kilts and skirts when they come to mid knee.

Again that's my $.02 worth.

I had a look at the sport skirts, but they were all on girls, and showed tights as well. Not really male friendly I thought.

R.M.: yea, both of the skirts I jog in are really skorts, with attached high cut shorts. I find them comfie, but would like to see if the brief style works better. Either that or get a speedo to do the same thing. I have only gone jogging in my avia skirt this week, although today was the latest and most well lit I've done so. Alot more activity at 6:15 then at 4:30

I just found a blue running jacket to match my blue Nike skirts, so will try to wear that one morre often. Gotta admit, its easier to wear the black one but its getting easier each time out. I've got a couple pics up, but they are too big to put in the post. Need to resize em.

Great photos and the use of darker colors makes the transition a lot easier than the use
of (bright) pastels for first time users.
I like your skirt (hem) length. Makes the best use of athletic effort with minimal air resistance.
Yes; the problem with skorts is the boy short compression "shorties" covering all (way) too
much. Your idea to use a speedo is fine an alternative to the underwear of ones choice.
And good body - keep up the exercise/work and keep it that way.

R.M.: Thanks. Have dropped about 10#, so am at least 5 less then those pics. Am hoping to get my tummy back in control and maybe in the 150s. Doubt I'll ever fit in a size 1 skirt like I did back in highschool.

Here is a shot of the purpleish/blueish nike jogging skirt I've got. I'm not really happy with the top though, so usually wear something looser, or a jacket since it's been a bit chilly.

I did try an Adidas MC M10 jogging skort this weekend. I got it for only $10, but it was a size too large. The material of the skirt was much lighter, more like regular jogging shorts as compared to the two I have right now. I think it will be very comfortable, and plan to find one that fits in a color I am comfortable with

Both of these are a tad shorter in the HEM than your application.
A bit more efficient in running or jogging - less material resistance.

Found a UA 'training' skirt without attached shorts/brief at a Marshalls for $15. Its darker blue, so not too femm a color, and made with a nice lycra blend. Now I need to track down something like a speedo to wear under it. Should be comfortable, will let you know.

R.M.: those look nice. Usually prefer red but I like the design on the blue one more.
