Bri,
What's the brand and model of the purse you bought at REI? I'm currently looking at two models from Over-Land Equipment and trying to decide. REI carries the Over-Land Equipment brand, so thought I'd ask.

One model is larger and has room for water bottles, etc. The smaller one is an organizer style that would work for everyday, run to the store stuff.

Gray tshirt, camo skirt.

I found the knee length camo skirt handy for changing out of my swim trunks at the pool yesterday. After toweling off I pulled on the skirt, then pulled off the trunks. During my last vacation to Hawaii I also found skirts quite handy for changing clothes at the beach.

I got home from work and just shucked off my black trousers for my eggplant-coloured tiered skirt. The rest if the rig is identical to what I wore to work -- a canary-yellow dress shirt (read, "loud"), sheer knee-high socks, and my (new) black dress shoes.

It's nice here at the moment; there's a gentle hint of thunder in the distance, a very light rain falling, and our nesting birds are all snuggled down for the night. I love this place!

Well, I must admit. I have been bad in that I have noit purchased the two skirts I was interested in or any more dresses. However, the first of my two backordered nightgowns arrived the other day. So today, I am lounging around in my black 2pc peignoir set.

This is so pretty and comfortable!!! Of course, I am NOT as good looking as the model!! This will be nice for lounging around on a lazy weekend morning while sipping a cup of coffee. Lately, I have been working so much that when I do get home, I am in no mood to go out. So I tend to stay inside. And after a long day, I would prefer to relax around the house in a nice nightgown. So I decided to buy 2 gowns rather than the skirts that I liked.

Black A-line twill mid calf length skirt, black T-shirt, black Birkenstock sandals. A typical outfit for me when sitting at my 'puter playing online poker. Even if there are no people around, I still like to look my best. A far cry from how I treated myself sartorially back in the levi shorts, any old T-shirt, flip flop days before I started wearing skirts all the time. NOW I really care about how I look and then, I didn't.

Been sewing this morning. Took a store bought A-line khaki twill mid-calf skirt and shortened it to knee length and gave it a pencillectomy for summer wear. I know pencil skirts are somewhat difficult to climb in and out of a vehicle with, but knee length makes it much easier to do so, 'specially since I added a 6 in. long slit in the rear. I'm wearing it right now and I really do like the way it holds my lower back and hips together, keeps my knees close together too. No modesty problems with this skirt. It's so tight bending at the waist is never a problem either. Just can't run or jump. That's ok tho, I'm never in a hurry when wearing a pencil skirt and the old ladies at Bingo always love to see me in one so they can share their fond memories of their own pencil skirts they wore back in the '50's when pencil skirts and/or full skirts were all the rage. Any female that wore tr****rs in the 50's was considered either "queer" (the word "gay" wasn't invented yet") or VERY mannish. A tr***ers wearing female in the 50's usually also had very short hair with vaseline in it, a leather jacket, no makeup and boots.

This was Friday night, not right now, but it's worth sharing. I went to the Philadelphia Phillies game in a short-sleeved ivory imitation silk mens shirt, knee length tan skirt from Ann Taylor Loft, and brown sandals. At this particular park, there is a concourse on each level so you can stand up, drink your beer and eat your sausage and peanuts at a counter while looking down at the field. I usually do that instead of sitting in my seat. For the first couple of innings I was next to a father who brought his son and daughter to the game. We didn't chat much. For most of the last part of the game, I was next to a couple of guys who looked like they'd been coming to the park for 30 or 40 years. We shared our opinions of the players, the manager, the owners and Philadelphia politicians.

Nobody mentioned the skirt.

What skirt? hehehehe Ain't it neat when folks don't even LOOK at your skirt, much less say anything? Happens to me all the time. The only REALLY unusual thing that happens regarding my skirt wearing is when all my skirts are in the Laundry and I'm wearing my one and only pair of cut-offs and I get 10 comments on WHY I'm NOT wearing a skirt..Ain't life grand?
