Interesting. How long have they been on sale? Since they are now on sale at 50% off at £32.50 having been £65.

That's very cool...I wear skorts often but never thought I'd see one identified towards men. 8)

Looks more like a pair of tight boxers sewn to a skirt; not much gain on getting rid of the inseam; air movement or textural comfort. And though they may have it listed under "mens" they sure did not go to any effort to make the model appear male -- had it not been for the catalog tab, I'd not "have known" ! Poof

You got me thinking and simple search turns up this https://www.jack-wolfskin.co.uk/preligh ... XxJ6U7zAt7 on the Jack Wolfskin site.
To me this is M&S flying a kite. It is only available on line, They spent no money taking pictures, It is not taking real estate in the bricks an morter shops. Not Sur how we should feel about this?

IMHO, just buy a swim skirt.

This one has a 'boxer' liner https://www.amazon.com/SANTINY-Pockets- ... th=1&psc=1

Or this one, with a bikini liner https://www.amazon.com/beautyin-Bottoms ... th=1&psc=1

These work just as well as "skorts".

People will think it is a skirt ................. so why not just wear a skirt.
Funny to flash the undergarment to access a pocket.

Indeed. The person tying the waist cord has distinct breasts. Why call it a men's garment and have it modelled by a woman!
Keep on skirting,

Yeah, probably a listing error. They do make these mistakes sometimes.

On the plus side, though, some junior skorts are now listed as unisex rather than girls, so I reckon we'll be seeing boys modelling them at some point.

Interesting that on the JW site there are extra pictures of the full person, so that you can clearly see the model is female, but on the M&S site those pictures are omitted and only the waist-down ones included, thus making at least /some/ attempt to hide the gender of the model.

Don't like the style of them, but what the heck, good to see them in "menswear"!

The lady wearing the skirt has to be deliberate. What are they so scared of?

M&S are not scared of anything. They just used a cropped picture from Wolfskin women's website and changed the text from women to men and threw it on the website to show they are progressive.

I think perhaps they are scared Mouse, otherwise they might do something meaningful like saying "Clothes are for everyone, so we at M&S will no longer be segregating clothes by sex". That might affect their brand by altering public perception and get them accused of being woke.

This is what's holding us back, and will not resolve until we can shake off the right-wing "Father Knows Best" mentality that's plaguing the world now. It may take a hundred years or more (and likely a fair amount of violence) to cure us of that malaise. Until then, there is no hope (although this varies with location), so just give it up and blend into the world of drab.
