Shaven legs

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

I used clippers to trim my leg hair down. First time I used a #2 guard and went with the grain down my leg. A few days later I went against the grain up my leg. It trimmed it down a bit. Then the next weekend I did the same with a #1. And then used a cream on my legs. I still have hair that you can see. But it’s very short and feels nice. I might feel a little cooler in the air conditioning. :)

I don't usually entirely shave my legs due to being prone to ingrown hairs and bumps, but I have a body hair trimmer, and will sometimes use the foil trimmer to cut it down so its basically all gone. Spritz down with an aftershave, and make sure to sanitize your shaving equiptment. It'll at least help not ruin your razors if you're going a bit between shaves/save a little time.

I cheat and use Immac (Veet in UK) then a good moisturizer. Tights and stockings are so much easier to put on with smooth legs 😍

It's that time of year to order more underwear and tights again. Autumn and winter comes round so fast...

I would prefer a lot less body hair, but that is a topic on which I have to defer to Mrs Bookworm.

I've found that the Veet hair removal cream (https://www.boots.com/veet-hair-removal ... skin-400ml) works well for me. Have used it for armpits, arms and legs so far.

Last did mine a couple of weeks ago, with hair just about visible again.

Tights definitely look much better with shaved legs.

Unshaven legs are unsightly. I believe that the reason many companies disallow shorts for men is because some men’s legs are so hairy that they look like a gorilla that escaped from the local zoo. IMHO if men are ever going to be accepted in skirts, their legs need to be clean shaven or they need to be wearing opaque tights.

Jamie it's this kind of talk that stops men in their tracks. You must see the connection between what you are saying and being caught in the manbox. Ie telling men what they can and can't wear.

You may have your opinion, but please don't force others to conform to it.

Personally, I think men (and women) look better with hairy legs. Some people can't grow that hair as well, but they shouldn't let their jealousy regulate others.

Jim, I prefer myself with shaved legs, am agnostic on men being hairy or not, and prefer women to have smooth legs.

Otherwise I am in agreement with you on the points you make.

I think it definitely comes down to personal preference, I've come to quite like having shaved legs (and arms) recently but there is a bit of maintenance of involved to keep the hair off. Likely that the degree of this depends on the method of hair removal.

VEET also do a expert range. I didnt know it existed until my daughter put it in the trolley. She said its worth the extra outlay.

Hairy legs and stockings just looks so wrong to me, perhaps it's what is expected of skirted legs. I wax in more delicate areas, have always had a hatred of "spiders legs" depending on the type of briefs I have on, especially if lace. I'm trying more foundation and makeup, and also bought some more skirt suits and blouses. It's nice to show that side of me in a diverse but welcoming workplace

What type of industry do you work in? You are probably not located in a redneck state.

I work in local government in the UK. Diversity laws go in my favour here so there's little negativity. When I travel to work, most times I have headphones on so don't pay attention to any silly remarks, usually randoms looking for a reaction. Grey checked pencil skirt today, white stockings 8)

Wearing headphones is a godsend when going out in public wearing skirts or dresses with tights as I go into a trance with the music while feeling sublime in my skirt and tights and totally unaware of any stupid remarks from bigoted narrow minded idiots passing by. I recommend anyone going out for the first time in public in a skirt to wear headphones. My favourite music to listen to while out in a skirt is ambient electronica as it makes me feel calm and confident.
My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist. 8)
