Pete Waterman may not be well known outside of the UK, but he has a certain degree of fame (or should that be infamy) as a record producer and writer of popular music hits for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Rick Astley as well as being a panelist on tv talent contests. He worked on the railways in early adulthood (I've heard him mention Bescot sidings in interviews) and now he's minted he has a collection of trains (some full size, some miniature).

Rod Stewart is also known for his love of model railways.
