The role of a man...

No, not alwaysGrok wrote:Yes, but when a man carries out his role, must he always be wearing twin pipes when he does so?
The 'role' of a man does not concern WHAT
he is wearing but HOW HE CONDUCTS HIMSELF
with-in his family and in public. He must set
a good example to those around him.

Right, lets get past the idea that masculinity depends on twin pipes.

Re: The role of a man...
Not a leader of the house. That's a bit sexist and outdated. A strong and supportive partner in a household, I would posit.
Re: The role of a man...
Ray,
My response, as a 66 Year Old father & grandfather, is based
on the "Traditional" sense of family. This concept is not true
in all cases. A widow/widower, raising her/his family. A single
parent household. A single person adopting a child.
There are exceptions to every 'rule' but, in general, my response
was valid. When discussing 'the role of man', my response was
not sexist or outdated nor was it implied as being as such.
