Ridiculous trousers... shorts? Who knows...

Post by moonshadow »

Saw these the other day... I thought to myself, "and I'm the one that gets laughed at on every outing...." Oh but this guy is "cool".... uh-huh...

What the hell are these anyway??? Are they trousers? Shorts? Or some type of "men's capris"??

Well I guess whatever the chics dig.... but as for me.. I'll keep my girly skirt and dresses...

Image
*yawn*... BOOOORING!

Arm's all crossed like he's a bad ass or something....

Yeah that's right... Old Moon is going to laugh back for a change.... this guy looks completely ridiculous!... and you know what, I find it hilarious!

And just like what happens to me all the time, my cell phone camera CAME OUT... hell why not??!? I get photographed all the time! How do ya like that??

You look dumb as a box of rocks, and just as common...!

AKA - beach combers - pantaloons - peddle pushers - pirate pants* - * I hate using that word !

Capri Pants (UGH!) - of no practical use it is like wearing pants under a skirt - serves no viable function !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

The capris that I have (that I wore out before I wore skirts in public) are all trimmer than the ones in the picture. These are just ugly, baggy, short cargo pants. :blue:

As a designer, I can't think of any rationalisation for such a length of bifurcated garment (shorts, pants), but I try:
1. The material saved is donated to a good cause.
2. No-one would admire the short socks if they were long pants.
3. They are long pants that rode up getting out of his truck.
4. Pants to ride a bicycle without needing clips.
5. Pants to go boating in without a bilge pump. (pirate?)
6. The doctor said he needed 10% more vitamin D.

However, that is his choice of clothing and we must respect that.

Good one; could have been 12 inches instead of 12mm.
Probably if they were white, blue or blue & white striped they would look nautical (boat pants) but brown brings to mind sewer inspection, with the same rationale as per length.

At this point in time I'm thanking my lucky stars that I didn't have anything in my mouth when I read that!

I just got a delivery from bobs furniture store and the driver was wearing the exact pants that are in the photo . I wish I had a chance to grab a picture. Nothing was said but he gave me a weird look when I opened the door wearing a skirt.

Are you sure you didn't give him a weird look for what he was wearing?

So tonight I saw a young man with his girlfriend and baby in the carriage grocery shopping

It was about 1030PM and he was wearing hot pink Betty Boop pajama pants.

I actually fancy seeing stuff like this... it makes me feel less silly about what I do.

My first thought was, "heh... Kentucky..."

Earlier I saw a man walking down the street wearing hot pants, and a few weeks ago, I saw an older woman who from afar you'd swear looked like a guy...

See? We're all a little different in our own way!

No men wearing skirts from the women's section though... at least not in the public eye. Looks like I'm still the lone ranger 'round here... :|

At work I wear black knee-length cargo shorts with black/dark blue ankle socks and TBH I feel more ridiculous thus garbed than when I wear a knee-length skirt. I am getting used to them but will probably have to revert back to trousers as the temperatures dip more.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
