men in kilts skirts
can anyone tell me why it is, that when some men get together wearing kilts they feel the need to lift up the back on the kilt and moon the camera? When looking at other web sites of men in kilts and skirts the same thing is done over and over. That is not going to put guys that wear kilts skirts all the time in a good light.

I suppose in part it's because of the trite but never-ending question, "What are you wearing under that kilt?" So they're showing us, or perhaps the photographer is showing his audience.
When I see a nice-looking woman in a skirt or dress, I frequently think, "Wow, I wonder if she's wearing anything under that?" And it's exciting to think not that because that makes her more sexually assertive and accessible.
It might also be because the kilt-wearers are new and not accustomed to the extra ventilation, and so they horse around by showing off.

Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

When I see a woman in a skirt the last thing I wonder about is what she is wearing under it! Otherwise I think it really shows the immaturity of the person mooning. A hairy a**e is not the prettiest part of the body to expose - I can think of better.

Re: men in kilts skirts
There was a classic scene in the movie 'Braveheart' where the Scots taunted the English by mooning them en masse. Perhaps that is the origin?

Oh dear, this wont end well, mooning to show contempt to the enemy, however raising the kilt to the front, to expose the "last turkey in the shop " shows.... wait lets have answers on a post card

It makes an excellent distraction to your opponent in a game of horseshoes. (Or Kubb in my case.)

Re: men in kilts skirts
I understand the origin of lifting the kilts is to taunt the enemy, but there is no enemy at weddings and kilted get together, just excessive amounts of alcahol.

It rather shows the sexual immaturity of those who think flashing in a skirt was immature, it is just projection.Sinned wrote:When I see a woman in a skirt the last thing I wonder about is what she is wearing under it! I thought the regulation answer was "Nothing, it's all in perfect working order"!

Re: men in kilts skirts
I was once at an international rugby match in Edinburgh when Scotland were playing Wales. At international matches it is traditional for Scots to wear kilts. As we were making a full day of it, after the match our bus party went on a pubcrawl. Later in the evening when waiting for our coach (bus) to turn up to take us home, some of the lads started flirting with the girls walking along the street. A number of girls were asking what was worn under the kilts and the standard answer was given : "There is nothing worn under the kilt, it is all in working order"
One lad then started a challenge and said to the girls that they could take a look up his kilt. The girls thought this was a good idea until the chap said there was a traditional place to do this. He knelt down on the kerb of the street with his kilt hanging over the street gutter and asked the young lady if she would lie down in the gutter to have her look. Needless to say, she did not take on the challenge as she did not want to be seen lying in the gutter!

Re: men in kilts skirts
The "massive amounts of alcohol" partly explains the phenomenon, but drunks in tuxedoes would not drop trousers to show they are commando underneath. Perhaps alcohol combined with the convenience of the kilt? Personally, just being skirted is sufficient to assault my inhibitions; I never felt the need for taking boldness any further.
