Some help please.

Post by wsherman »

Hello All!

First of all if I've stuck this in the wrong forum moderators please relocate it to the proper one. My thanks!

As some of you may know I am totaly blind now so I get to use slick things like screen readers and listen rather than read books. That bit of porch building brings me to the subject of this little missive. I am looking for some podcasts, books and the like on our favorite discussion item i.e. skirts, kilts, and the endever to make them acceptable for men's wear. (I really think kilts are already there don't yo?).
So if you know of something I'd appreciate your passing it on here to me. I use the i-Phone and i-Pod to access podcasts and book sources like audible, and BARD which is part of the National Library service to the blind.

I did find a podcast called "A Life in a Kilt Show" but they havn't turned out anything since sometime in September.

I don't seem to have much success using general search terms and need specific titles to find anything, so that is why I'm coming to you with this request for help.

BTW my LeaderDog Brinkley thinks kilts and skirts are great - cold nose and all- Whoops! LOL!

Many, many thanks for your help!

I don't have any useful information for you, but I do agree that kilts are already "there."

I will happily search for anything fitting that bill, though I don't anticipate finding much. As for Brinkley, I can imagine that a strategically aimed sniff by a cold wet dog nose could give you a start, but becomes a welcome sign of affection. I say that as a dog person, though cats are okay too.

Well good-morning!

Thanks for the responses so far. I'll admit that it appears that the subject of men in skirted garments is a desert when it come to audio /accessable products but I'm hoping.

I'm no master when it comes to using the tools available to me but things are improving. There was a time I couldn't touch type but now it seems natural but not fast. LOL.

If I come across anything you can be sure I'll share it with the forum.

Hey we're having a heat wave it's 6 F above! Thankfully there's no wind as of yet which make it quite tolarable.
Take care & stay warm or cool if you're in the southern latitudes.
