The kilt's a winner!
I was out at Musselburgh racecourse of Friday 29th at the St Andrews race day meeting there. I had on my kilt, sporran and ghillies shirt as well as knee-length hose (ie long socks with flashes).
During the day there, there was a prize for the best dressed person with a "Scottish flavour". Well I was initially picked as a finalist and a short while later I won.
The prize was a round of golf at Archerfield (very exclusive golf course) flr myself and three others and it also included a 2 course lunch (but not drinks!). Golf to be played any time in 2014.
Not a bad return for simply wearing the kilt!! Must wear the kilt more often!

Well done, SkT. You cut a very fine figure in a kilt and I'm not surprised they picked you out. I'm sure it'll be your pleasure to buy a few drinks to go with that meal. Now Golf is different from curling, which I suppose you know already!
Incidentally, I've just ordered a kilt in Musselburgh Modern, which is an attractive light blue tartan.
Tom.

And here is a pic of the occasion - yes it is sunny in Scotland on occasions!

(pity it is a bit dark)

I used Irfanview when I was transcribing Civil Index records into indexed files a few years ago. The scanned images of the Index pages were displayed in Irfanview. Well, well.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
