His'n'hers
On Ebay yesterday, I was presented with one of the "you might also like" selections they show you when you look at a listing for an auction that has ended. One item jumped out at me - it is exactly the same as one of Mrs Skirtyscot's skirts, but in my size. It's mostly plain purple cord, but with a wide embroidered strip round the hem adding more colours and perhaps making it rather more feminine. It's A-line shape would be OK on me, I think.
Tempted to put in a bid for it, just for a laugh. Probably won't as the price has gone up to £9 plus P&P and I'm not sure it's worth it for a second hand skirt. But also because Mrs SS might not see the joke, given that she is not yet entirely comfortable with my skirting anyway.
How would your wife react if you did this, on a scale from laughter to divorce?

Re: His'n'hers
At mortal risk of putting words on Sapphire's keyboard, I would suspect the reaction could range from, "That looks good on you. Well done." to, "It doesn't work at all. What were you thinking?" Fortunately, we share similar senses of humour, so we get each others' jokes (save for the occasional "failed experiment", viz the "gorilla in a dress" comment).
Personally, I do not feel that I would be even in remote peril for finding a garment that would work on me. However, after 22+ years in there is a whole lot of trust in the relationship, and she's actually quite happy I've taken up skirts as a mode of expression. I view this as a whopping big win.
