Re: Traditional Full Summer Skirts
Going back to the idea that some skirts are just too femme...is one of the problems with my concern regarding crossing the isle to purchase skirts
which I am not happy wearing.....Only yesterday in New Look ...a female assistant who was wearing trousers said to me...
" Wear this skirt out on the street if you are comfortable wearing it " ....That is a good piece of advice.........weeladdie

I am at that point now with skirts and am getting there with dresses. When I am comfortable I tend to be easy going and that makes wearing a skirt or dress easy to do.weeladdie18 wrote:I feel we get to a point where we just wear skirts instead of trousers...when we want some service or specialist equipment , we just forget the way we are dressed and ask for the goods and services we require....When we have arrived at that point.. I personally no longer feel I am on a skirt wearing ego trip.

Well done Fred...When I was learning to be street wise ...I always used to watch to see if there were likely to be any potential problems ahead.....
When I was certain there were no problems I walked on with out turning my head to see if anyone was watching me....
The fear is that we will get problems.....The truth is that no one cares how we dress....one simple answer is not to respond to any back chat out on the street..
I am writing this for the Newbies who have not got their act together and are not confident out on the street.
Today I was wearing trousers as I had some male business to attend to......I must admit I did feel uncomfortable as I really do not like wearing trousers.

Re: Traditional Full Summer Skirts
I have not worn trousers in almost 5 years now. When I decided that it was to be skirts I stopped with the trousers completely. I have never regretted this at all.WL.... Where I have things to do Male business or not I still wear my skirts. At 76 years young I no longer crawl on the ground or work under my car. I cut grass in my skirts. I cook over a Bar-Be-Que in my skirts, in fact there is nothing I do that I have to wear trousers.
I decided last year in June about starting to wear dresses and have gotten to the point that I wear dresses almost as much as I wear skirts.
For the new skirt wearers I have one thing to say "JUST DO IT!!!!" There is no reason not to.
