Life in a Kaftan

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

They's super robes. Nice colours and they certainly look good on you. Unfortunately I'm a bit mean to pay the prices of Garb the World. The construction looks quite simple though so I may have a go at making one or two. Working in a homewear shop I can come across some very cheap material in the form of bedding/curtains and I'm sure that I could make a kaftan out of a duvet cover especially king size.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

yes Garb the World stuff is a bit higher price but to me they are the Rolls Royce of Caftans and I do plan on getting more of them

At the weekend I went cruising EBay and Amazon in search of lighter nightclothes, with my new family of kittens sleeping in skin doesn't seem wise as they like to attack me under the duvet, could be startling to say the least!
Anyway, I ordered 2 kaftans off Amazon (from the Nightingale collection apparently) which arrived today, nice and light, very brightly patterned, also long enough to keep me happy, looking forwards to trying one out tonight.

Skyclad- haven't heard that term, sounds great, sleeping under the stars?
