Hi all

Post by Reaper_Man »

i'm not exactly new here as i have been lurking around on and off for quite some time reading all the posts etc, so i think it's time to introduce myself.

My name is Steve and i live in the UK (West Yorkshire) i have a couple of kilts and several skirts, i also own a few dresses, i tend to go out locally in my kilts, the wife is happy with this but the skirts have taken a bit of working on although she was fine with them when we were on holiday, as for the dresses well again she is ok at certain events where there are likely to be other men in skirts/dresses etc but she's not to keen when i suggest wearing them locally, but hopefully she will come round eventually

here is a photo of me in a white cargo style skirt on holiday in Malta

Hi Steve, welcome to Skirtcafe. Allthough I now live in Johannesburg I was born and raised in West Yorkshire, (nice place to visit, but don't want to live there anymore) :D

Hi, Steve, and welcome to the forum.

It sounds like your wife is fairly tolerant so far, and that's a very good thing. My advice is to be glad for what you have, keep gently pushing the envelope from time to time, and avoid any sort of hostile or regressive reaction.
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

not that cool .... it was taken outside the civic buildings in Valletta, Malta in August (this year) and the temperature was 37C but at least i was cooler than all the people working there as they were all wearing black business suits (including long trousers) not by choice i suspect :D

Hi Steve,
love the all-white look, it looks very cool for hot weather. Did you get any compliments on your trip?

Regards,

Hi Reaper.

What a very lucky guy you are, having the Wifie on board. I suppose to a Yorkshireman Valetta could be described as 'local'

37 degrees, however is not and your outfit fits the conditions very nicely.

no compliments but no negative comments either ... one or two double takes, just people double checking that it was a skirt and not a pair of shorts i reckon, otherwise no one seemed to bother and just went about their business as normal

Steve,

Welcome to the cafe from Holland.
Your skirt and shirt look like a perfect match and show nonchalance and comfort.
The skirt looks like a Jedez skirt!

Hi Steve, I also agree that the all white look is very cool in both senses of the word.
