That is peculiar, they list the group's website as here, the cafe. :? While their intent is admirable, we are a men in skirts resource, not here to advocate their one day cause which relegates men in skirts to a stunt rather than a part of normal, daily life.

It's interesting indeed, but I happen to regard every day as a potential "skirt day" -- it's all up to my whim as I'm getting dressed in the morning. I figure at this point in time I don't need an excuse to wear a skirt other than that I want to.

Now, "Talk Like a Pirate Day" is another matter. :)

On Facebook, eh?
I think Facebook is so yesterday.
The next big thing in social networking will be something that allows two or more people to communicate audio-visually for free without the use of any electronic devices and without having to sign up for any kind of account. :)

Perhaps we should have a banner on the Cafe's home page that says something like:
Today {insert today's date programatically) is Men's Skirt Day!
(Yesterday was, too, and so will tomorrow, so you haven't missed it!)

In my part of the world we have a system like that, full multiplex communication with a comms booster available; we call the system a pub and my preferred comms booster is called "beer", though alternative wetware is available.

The great thing about my local pub is that it is skirt friendly every day. I get an occasional bit of leg pulling, (jokes about not wearing shiny shoes or checking my feet for dandruff are typical) but the one time someone started getting more lippy than that, several locals jumped down his throat and suggested he might like to leave.

Does anyone here know who is behind this? Is it a member of the Café, someone we know...?

Have fun,

I'm not keen on the idea of a 'stunt' either, but I guess the upside is that more men might try skirts on and realise how comfortable they are!

I'd love to know if the original poster of it is a member here, too. Speak up if so!

I noticed they ALSO have Skirts4Men as their email address, they are an equal opportunity user of other people's site names. Their email, skirts4men@googlemail.com has NOTHING to do with http://skirts4men.myfreeforum.org/ :blue:
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Uh huh, would be nice if they could be original and think up something new, not copy an existing (for over a year, since Jan. 3, 2009.) skirts4men site. I'm sure there are hundreds of possible NEW men's skirts site names. Too bad they're too mentally blanked to find one. :(

The name skirts4men is common enough to the topic. I wouldn't mind the use Skip. After all, the site http://skirts4men.com/ has been around since 2006. Just as you did not copy them, the email address is just the same good idea you had.

Did a quick random check of the site (http://www.skirts4men.com).
Most recent post I could find was September 17 2008.
Not a very viable active forum ???
Not much of interest that has not been discussed or run thru the mill here.

"Kilt-Skirt-On"
rm
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

I did an extensive check for any other "skirts4men" sites before I named mine that. The only one I could find was associated with Midas Clothing but was not active for anything but Midas Clothing associated subjects. Had there been even ONE active open to the public forum I'd have named it something else. That was over a year ago, I never was one for copying other people's ideas. I like being original. :D :D
