Today on NPR they interviewed a man who had memorized pi to 1000 decimal digits. He rattled off about 100 as they concluded the piece. Of course, who the hell would know if he really knew them or was just popping out random numbers?

And on her most recent album (Aerial) Kate Bush used the first 137 (?*) digits of pi as the lyric for the song of the same name. I was just curious enough to look up the first 100 digits and confirm that she had got them right, however I did not have the next 37 or so digits written down so she may have got them wrong and I would not know...

...now is anyone sad enough to check that she got those last few digits right as well?

 I wonder if she's planning on performing that song live?

Have fun,

Ian.

* I did count the number of digits as 137 but am not guaranteeing to be accurate, counting digits a surprisingly difficult thing to concentrate on.

Typo corrected, Ian.
