Please get your wife checked out just to be safe. They should run some test on her to find out why it keeps happening. Maybe it’s what she’s eating or drinking. How her body reacts to her getting excited etc. I’d rather be safe than sorry. I’m glad she’s okay but please get her checked out.

We actually have been to several cardiologists. We lost faith medicine. One had given her a medicine to lower her heart rate, against our wishes. She already has a very low heart rate. We started going to a nutritional response dr and he told us she needed to be off the medicine or something would happen. Needless to say it did and she had have CPR. The cardiologist could find nothing.

Never -- never -- fail to question what the doctors have on offer if you know something that they don't. They're working to an average model these days and don't take individuals into account. If you know that a heart-rate is normally low, don't hesitate to contradict a suggestion to further lower it -- point the situation out, and if the doctor insists on overriding your concerns insist on a second opinion. They hate that, of course, because they tend to believe themselves infallible; however, it's worth recalling that they're human, and by that fact are fallible.

That's a scary moments. Will start praying for you.
I would not go back go back to that place again around Mardi gras.

Me and my wife are at that point also. I have been feeling lousy for a number of years. The few tests DR's do they say come back fine. I had a lung infection years ago, that I was treated for. The specialist, said it always has a small chance it can return, or show up in another part of my body. I suspect it may be back. But my doctor won't test me for it. It's something that doesn't show up in your average blood tests,

My wife and I just started looking into finding a nutrition response type. Initially we have not found one close by. Going to keep up the hunt for one.

It is time to find another Doctor. You control what goes on and what tests get done. I have asked my doc to get tests at one time or another when the usual tests come back clean and I don't feel 100%. Never had any problems and usually the tests I asked for have shown cause and the problem treated.

It takes me a long time to begin to trust any doctor but once I do I tend to only see him or her and control whats done.

It is sad to relate that every doctor gets past it...and it is time for the patient to move on ...I am getting to the point where I am looking for a younger
doctor in my practice.....The whole problem is one of modern thinking with advancing techniques in medical care for each diagnosis

One issue is over repeat of standard prescriptions....some suggest that this whole procedure should be reviewed.....

The primary problem is actually deeper than that. For all of the vaunted modern medical technology, sometimes experience, curiosity, and deep understanding are vastly better -- and the folks that possess those tools are the ones that are getting railroaded out of practise today because the kiddies think they're fossils.

We've seen that here a few times. Recall that in Uncle Al's case the doctors never bothered to run an old-school culture to identify what was eating his legs. They unquestioningly believed what the computerised AI was telling them and never thought about it. One might as well ask Google.

Accurate diagnosis -- especially in the absence of acute symptoms -- is Devilishly complex and difficult. It's like taking your car to the mechanic when it's behaving, and if you cannot describe the symptom in exacting detail the mechanic will have nothing to go on.

The upshot is that you know your symptoms best; you need to describe them precisely to your practitioner. My case of atypical migraine (a disruption of vision in the absence of pain, identical in both eyes simultaneously) was accurately diagnosed by an old-school MD with a background in emergency medicine and an intern we was working with at the time. I was worried about stroke as that's what kills men in my family, as was my late ex. The description alone was precise enough for both of them to recognise it without the need for "tests". (I still get 'em, and they're primarily stress-related; I've learned to de-stress as much as possible and roll with the things when they happen.)

The point is that you know your own self than any assembly-line doc' can possibly know your situation. It's up to you to manage the relationship, question what you don't understand liberally, and don't put up with BS. E.g.: "I'm here for a bite from a deer tick and I'm worried about Lyme Disease. I am not interested in a colonoscopy."

Speaking of ....
Today I went up for a colonoscopy as a preventive measure. I had never heard of the term before but I'm a fast learner. In Dutch we use the more general term endoscopie (endoscopy) as far as I know as a mechanical engineer. In a sort of briefing before the operation, the nurse told me to put easy clothing on. I told her if it was not so cold, easy clothing would be a skirt for me. That is OK for me she said.
I have no details beside the notion of a cold operating theater because I slept through the whole procedure. ;)
The day before, Wednesday, I had to fast so the timing could not be better. I blew my Catholic wife out of the water. She just skipped the meat. Big deal.
In a week I will hear if there is anything wrong with me.

For the record: I had tick bites a few years ago but no consequences then. The doctor did not suggest a colonoscopy.

We must remember that we are discussing different conditions to my condition....Emergency services transferred me to cardiac and not to my G.P.
All my G.P. would do is to transfer me to Cardiac....the current symptoms were available as a track record of an hours performance of my symptoms
for an hour after my " Feint "........

The issue I am challenging is the possible over prescription of standard medication under the directive of the consultant
over a 5 year period with an annual cardiac check..

One of the latest theories is that casualties conditions can be prevented by a change of diet and a change of lifestyle....This new method of treatment
is high profile in the local media.

If we try to use the motor vehicle with an intermittent fault as an analogy... the simple cure is to replace the aging and faulty vehicle with a new vehicle.

It is unfortunate ,but that is exactly what the G.P. does with his elderly patients...eventually they all die and he then has their grandchildren on
his books....A new generation with a different set of medical conditions.....
The G.P. is still restricted in his issue of prescriptions by the Directives given by the National Health Service.
