And a Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you, too, sir.
As always, a fine sartorial show!
I need to go to ground for a couple of days. Saint Patrick's day here is an excuse for the amateurs to get inebriated and hit the highways...

At 06:25 in the morning? Not even I'm that bad. (I usually wait until 07:00.)Fred in Skirts wrote:Carl have you been hitting the green beer
That was a case of me accidentally hitting "quote" instead of "edit".

Sometimes I try having too many irons in the fire at the same time. It's a vice I acquired at my last place of employment and one that I rue. Unfortunately, it's very, very difficult to rid one's self of.

When I retired from the nuclear industry I decided that it was time to put out the fire and let the irons cool. I have pretty much accomplished that task. It took about a year of work to do it but now it's done. I no longer have more that 1 iron in the fire and that is on low heat.crfriend wrote:And that there's a shadow on it!Fred in Skirts wrote:Well we all know it's 5 O:Clock some where!!

I concentrate on my skirts and being comfortable. I do not worry about what others think (my younger daughter excluded). In fact she does not worry about my skirts. The first time she saw me in one all she said was "COOL". We have been out together several times and I am always skirted. Now it is time to sit back and have a bit of Bailie's Irish Cream to sip on.

Re: Shure, 'tis the Day that's in it!
Every outing this month has been with me wearing a skirt or my family kilt. The new change is my church friends for the first time seeing us at Mass in my kilt. Mom and Dad are from Ireland so I am partial to Mom's Mc Kernan tartan. My other favorite is the Nova Scotia tartan kilt.
My first day wea ring my kilt to Mass was me on crutches(ski accident). No mention of kilt just good wishes for recovery.
As stated many times for newcomers to skirts. Friends who know you before skirt wearing can be very accepting, especially the older generation. Confidence is the Key!

Aye, planned to go out dressed for the day, so....
Started with a networking lunch where a friend's mom pinned all of us with shamrocks, then worked on a friend's computer to check for malware and discuss our plans to set up a live sound system for house concerts, played some chess and had supper. Excellent day! You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Well done Darryl. You probably had that appropriate kilt all along....
With us as forecast the weather closed in, very windy, cool and misty-wet. Just the thing for parades & such. It's a serious bank holiday here so the shops are shut. We stayed indoors and entertained a group of 5-6 year-olds to games & tea, then later on we had four of us to house Bridge, accompanied by tinctures and followed by Tea, nibbles & cakes. My tincture was a 12 yr old Jameson Malt. Could be worse!
We didn't dress up, though.
