Birthdays.

Post by crfriend »

I see that Mr. Milfmog is celebrating one today, so :hb: , Sir.

And another one on the same day, but sadly Skip (Since 1982) passed away a few years ago. He is remembered, though.

Thank you all Gentlemen. You all did better than my 21-year-old, live at home son; he still has not remembered.

Oh well, some things never change...

Have fun,

Ian.

Turned 59 yesterday...my kids did both call. I spent the day cutting firewood from a friend's huge 100 year old pecan tree that came down in the hurricane. The DOT had pushed it out of the road with a backhoe, so it was a huge tangle of splintered trunks, requiring a lot of sawing just to get to the better firewood. I felt about 89 by the time I had a full pickup load hauled home, and was too tired to go out. We will go out later this afternoon. I'm planning a black outfit with pencil skirt and heavy ballet tights, since its a bit chilly here this weekend. Pecan has that wonderful hickory smell when it burns.

A very Happy Birthday to you! It has been a long time since I saw 59, so my advise stay healthy.

For sure, for sure, never let your age get out of control.

Of course it's OK if you get out of control; in fact, if you hang out here, you probably are. Just go easy on that age thing.

Dillon,

Belated happy 59th. I was offline for a few days. At my last birthday I was of a mind to re-celebrate one long gone, so I jokingly chose the number 59. This gives credence to the expression 'Many happy returns'.

Thank you all for the kind wishes. We never know what time we have left. Not to sound like the Grim Reaper, what with all the death notices I have posted lately, but I noted journalist Gwen Ifill, of PBS Newshour and Washington Week In Review has passed away of cancer, at age 61...which is not too far away for me. I wish all the correspondents here good health and long happy lives.

Happy belated birthday youngster.

For sure, Gwen Ifill is a loss.
