Well, he's certainly going to eat well tonight. I got "nice little steaks" (that aren't so little) and we'll be sharing a meal with friends.

But.. ... his birthday is tomorrow

Thanks, lads. The past few days have been somewhat rocky, and this is the first time that I've actually felt older following a birthday. With some luck, that sensation will pass soon!

If the sensation came out a bottle with a nice label I'm certain it will pass soon

Hope the birthday was everything you would have wanted it to be.

Have fun,

Ian.

Nope, it was not liquid-fuelled; it was a metric buttload (as opposed to an imperial one) of other junk I really did not need. :(

Sounds like a terrible waste of a birthday...

Oh well, hope things are back on the up now.

Have fun,

Ian.

It has not been a good week. I suspect I'm either coming down with something, or already have a low-grade malady of some sort. I desperately wanted to hole up at home on Sunday, but had dinner with friends as promised; Monday was one frustration after another; Tuesday was somewhat OK; on Wednesday we had two feet of snow which needed to be shovelled and I discovered what a mess my designs at work had become (which are mostly mopped up now); and today we lost another elderly kitty and my back is in such pain from yesterday's shovelling I'd really like nothing more than to go into hibernation. I also picked up the duty-pager from work today which pretty much guarantees that I won't get a good night's sleep for the next week.
Oh well, hope things are back on the up now.
How I wish!
