In 2 Days . .

Post by Uncle Al »

My wife will have her left knee replacement surgery on 6 July.
She's currently in a bit of pain as the bone rubs bone when she walks.
I pushed the wheelchair for her when we were at Wal-Mart yesterday.
Short distances are OK, but not extended walks. We met a lady going
into Wal-Mart, when she found out about my wife's surgery said she
had the same surgery, last year, at the beginning of June. It took her
6 weeks to get to the point of beginning to feel good. Now she loves
the freedom of movement she has. That encouraged my wife.

Well, back to the 'salt mines'

Surgery well quite well! The Dr. was very pleased. Now it's time
to recover, take pain meds and to start therapy.

Well, back to the hospital.

Glad to hear it.

Sadly that is often the slow part. Hope progress is not too tardy.

Have fun,

I hope that she has a full recovery. Knee surgeries are usually pretty successful.

I took my wife to the Dr.'s today to have her 'staples' removed. He watched
her walk, had her move her leg/knee a couple of different ways and read
new X-rays of her knee. He said that she was at 90% already of what he
thought she should be at by next Friday. So, he said she could come home.
Checked her out of rehab, took her to Brunch and came home. She's now
resting in bed, going through her snail-mail. She has a couple of boxes to
go through yet. Then she can start on her emails. Should be quite a lot
since she hasn't looked at email for 11 days.

Now I'm chief nurse, therapist, cook and bottle washer :!:
