Women doing the pelvic thrust.

For not too long I have been wondering about this phenomena.

On many, many, music videos, or pornographic adds, or what have you, there are many instances of women performing the pelvic thrust.

I am baffled by this. Not one of my girlfriends has done this act while we did what lovers do. However in videos made to entice the male of the species women are doing this.

What gives here?

First and formost I personally find the movement not so attractive. I find a woman moving her hips in a sensuous or seductive manner to be enticing, but one doing the movement a male usually does does nothing for me.

Am I the only one who has this opinion?

Are these women actually attempting to entice other women? Or gay men?

any others have thoughts about this?

I have never seen this or even contemplated the phenomenon. But I don't watch either porn or music videos. I guess there is some blessing to being an old fart after all!

Yes it is something women can do but in the music video context it would be a gesture of power.
