It sounds like they are doing great things. Nosing around the site I found a list of companies who have policies of gender neutral rules found here http://www.gpac.org/workplace/majorcorps.html. Sounds like these companies wouldn't bat an eye when a man comes to work in a skirt that would already be considered appropriate office wear for a woman.Bob wrote:Please look at their website, they're doing advocacy work that we think would be good but never actually do.
As for the side issue that has arisen about the cross dressing student, getting his freedom to wear his clothes of choice is pertinent here. When he is given that opportunity it also means a boy in a kilt won't be kicked out of the prom either.
GenderPAC works not just to insure a man can wear skirts designed for a man but any clothes that would be permitted on a female. The idea is not to give freedom within gender based limits but to eliminate a gender basis for rules. That sounds fair to me.
