Man, I read through the last article, and besides the english. The article was informative, and I would also say that most of these things as you know come form old teachings, but further.. Why old teachings you ask? They're from a time when people didn't have all the food and warm clothes and other technology to make the gender gap almost disappear.

When you're primal needs such as food and shelter are met, then you can move up to other things. The bad part is the movement is slow because people are still on the idea that there isn't enough food or something. Experimentation isn't done as much as it should. But I still think it comes down to the primal needs not being met, or not seeming to.. I'll do more research and come back l8r!

Well, Cardinal Siri was certainly fighting a rear-guard action even in 1960, and one that was ultimately lost. Some of the ideas presented are valid, though, and certainly pants can be one heck of a lot less modest than skirts or dresses; the current crop of "spray-on" pants, for instance, leave precious little to the imagination, and I won't even start on the "whale tail" phenomenon. Not that those are bad things, mind you, as a dirty mind is a joy forever, but still....

My comment about modesty and imagination aside, I just happen to think that skirted garmets just happen to look better than trousers -- on both sexes.

So did the entire human race until the late 1700's, some of the trouser looks, for instance the buttocks display leather look are really far more risque than even a very tight and short PVC skirt which actually shows nothing of the "private area" like those trousers do.

Thongs also show far more than any skirt or dress does, especially when worn as an outer/primary garment. Yes, I definitely agree that skirts and/or dresses look better on both sexes than any type trousers do. :cheer:
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

At first I thought it was about men's dresses. :o

Lemme see if I have got this right. "These reasons, summing up many more, are enough to warn us how wrongly women are made to think by wearing men’s dress." I wonder if the same is true of men wearing female looking clothes, they can't think right anymore. Take one guess what the author Giuseppe Cardinal Siri is dressed like. :sh:
