"Underwear"

Post by VoxClamantis »

Every once in a while we are bound to get the question, "do you wear underwear?" From a gender equality standpoint, the question is in poor taste as one would (almost) never pose that question to a woman. But it is also problematically overbroad (trunk, boxer, boxerbrief, brief, bikini, jock, thong, etc.) Then there are others like boyshort, hipster, etc. And what about commando? If a woman is not a whore for going commando, men should neither be regarded as perverts for doing the same. How do slips fit into the mix? They are underwear but still commando.

Thoughts....?

Oh, but I do. The conversation goes:

"Do you wear underwear?"

"I'll tell if you will."

I find the question particularly amusing when I'm wearing tights or leggings. That one goes:

"Are you wearing anything under that kilt?"

"Well, the tights..."

Or perhaps my all-time favorite:

"Are you wearing anything under that kilt?"

"Oh, I wish you hadn't asked me that. Now I only have two choices: report you for sexual harassment or ask you for a date."
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

Underwear prevents body waste from contacting the inside of your clothes.

Herein lies the reason women ask if we're going commando.

Don't most men find it interesting to know a woman's doing it? I suppose because it's one less obstacle to victory?

BTW, another one is:

"Are you wearing anything under that kilt?"

"What would you prefer?"

For a while I tried telling people I kept getting yeast infections but nobody bought it.

Tom
Tom is correct - please adjust your computer discussion accordingly.

The Sanitary answer to this "It is not to be the MAIN topic of discussion" !
Casual incidental reference to what lies beneath is OK but don't make big or little deal about it !

Now return with us to the thrilling days of unbifurcated skirted wear - keep it clean ya hear !

Remember what your mama said about getting into an accident !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

It appears that someone failed to read the Cafe' Rules section;

Rule:
3. SkirtCafe is a family-friendly fashion forum. No adult material.
No discussion of clothing not meant to be seen in public, unless it affects
clothing that IS meant to be seen. Underwear is NOT public fashion.

Please adhere to the guidelines.

Thanks :!:

My response to what’s worn under the kilt is usually “my shoes”...

As tights are discussed, the following brand might be a bit of an issue:

As has been said, its not really a subject for discussion here but never the less it is a subject that we all have to face, mainly its the women that want to know and is a form of sexual harassment. I was asked this once by a group of youths in the streetbut my look of anger soon made them turn away.
On a light hearted note if my wife asks me I tell her to give me a quid and I'll give her a flash of me draws, (I'm cheap, I know that) There are times when we have to see the funny side. Lets face it we all have to wear something or nothing.

I will go far enough to say I wear something practical for the purpose of keeping ones outer clothes clean.

Avoid the middle man, wear a kilt or skirt.

Careful, there. A tautology and a wedgie are two very different things.

I have been asked the question. My answer has been, "super sexy underwear!" This with a mischievous grin usually handles it without making the enquirer look to silly for an awkward question.

Och! Ya beat me to it. When asked what I'm wearing under my kilt I usually say "can ye no see ma shoes and socks?" in a broad Scottish accent. Definitely something intended to be worn publicly!
