Zip failure

Most of my skirts have belt loops and front zip also. I have a few with buttons and that is OK once done up as one doesn't need to undo them again until removing the skirt. I like side and rear zips but with a belt it seems a bit strange doing the zip up at the rear and the belt up at the front.
Those fully zip-down fastenings could be a problem if faulty - be a bit like a kilt without the overlap.
