Hi folks

A quick update. I've been out and about, a lot more since my last update. Driven and walked to supermarkets to buy groceries. Walked around my local area. Driven to service stations to buy fuel for my car.
I've got pretty bold.
No nasty comments about how I'm dressed. Just one compliment. Most folks just seem to ignore what I'm wearing or soon lose interest. Just as some of you folks on here have suggested would happen.

Same sort of outfit every time. Black utility kilt, black rugby shirt, tights (pantyhose) and the Mary Jane, block-heeled shoes. Medium support hose in "nearly black" shade.

Smart look, Shadowfax! It's a good combination. The kilt in particular is excellent.

Thanks Ray for your comments on the look. :)

The Utility Kilt is very well made. There are 4 brass popper/studs together with two brass-buckled eyeletted fabric straps holding the front overlap closed. In addition there are 2 double belt loops at the front and 3 single belt loops at the back. The loops are very deep and would take up to a 3" (75mm) wide belt.
The two pockets hang nicely at the side of one's thighs and are attached only at the top so they'll take quite a lot of clutter (though I try not to put too much into them!). They would hold a plus size smartphone. A stud/popper on each pocket flap stops the contents from spilling out.
The label inside says, "Modern Kilts".

Thanks Grok. :)

I have one with the same label. I think it must be one of the Pakistan-made kilts, because the .co.uk address on the label is dead and archive.org doesn't find any history for it; also there's a glaring typo on the laundry care label.

I guess that you chose the ladies' version to get the shorter length. Looks good in your photo. Was there any problem in guessing the correct size?

Mine doesn't have a web address on the label.
Yes, I preferred the shorter length kilt.
Thank you for your compliment. :)
No, problem with the sizing, there is a Skirt Size Chart on the eBay seller's page for the Utility Kilt. The overview box scrolls down. The chart is near the bottom.

The term "Utility Kilt" used to belong exclusively to the Seattle
manufacturer who started the whole thing.

They are still in business, but it looks as if they downsized the
name to Utilikilts. I tried them on once, but didn't buy.
Despite my heritage (I am four-fifths Scotch), I don't own any kilts.
So far, I am quite satisfied with my skirts.

Indeed. Mosquitoes bite him and immediately fall away completely inebriated.

I considered that once but couldn't decide if the rest should be tonic, ice, or water.
