That's a great-looking outfit.

No negative reactions, I presume?

Thanks for the compliment Caultron. :)
No negative reactions so far. I hope not to receive any.
Wearing a skirt in public is a step further for me, one might say, than just wearing a utility kilt albeit a ladies version of a utility kilt but with tights and heels.

I don't think that skirt looks very much like a utility kilt but that's OK, and I do think the skirt, tights, and shoes work well together.

I hope this successful outing gives you confidence to venture forth again!

Shadowfax - many thanks for the info.

I feel a purchase coming on. Shame the shoes are out of stock. Getting a 9/43 wide isn’t easy...

Clarks Shoes sell size 9 womens shoes. Some are available in a wide fitting.

Well, that’s the skirt ordered. Size 16. May be too big. A belt will sort that.

Thanks for the link. I’ll check them out.

At least I’ve got the tights and rugby shirt already :-)

Legwear (tights) colour with skirt

Post by shadowfax »

My favourite colour of tights is currently, nearly black closely followed by black. I'm not a big fan of natural tan tights.
I tried a pair of natural tan tights (pantyhose) with my A-line skirt today. I still prefer the nearly black or black shades of legwear.
See the two pictures below for comparison.

Wolf whistle for outfit

Post by shadowfax »

Whilst I was out in the street, early this morning, my outfit (as above) drew a wolf whistle. :D
Skirt, MJ shoes, nearly black tights with a black polo shirt.
The person who whistled may have meant it to be ironic but I'll take it as positive.

Both pictures look really nice. I see nothing wrong with the tan ones at all.

I thought I got a wolf whistle a few days ago, but it was hard to be sure because it came from behind.

But assuming it was intended for me, why should I care what someone who lacks the guts to show his face thinks?

I have worn this kilt out before the first time was to a baseball game and the second was just out

The last time out I wore black knee socks. That photo is a few pages back on this blog.

Tomorrow I am going to see one of my accounting clients He is Irish

I am planning on wearing the kilt with tights what do you think any suggestions

I think that tights rather than knee socks would be preferable (and hands out of pockets  ) :)
It might also be an idea to try the kilt and boots with some lighter coloured tights or pantyhose (brown or tan maybe)?

Looks very good, tights are good better than knee high socks I think.
