It's So HOT that I.........

Got home from work and was still wearing my work pants and decided to dig on my gutter trench a little, maybe complete it...

Not wanting to change clothes again for the day, I decided to stay in my trousers. After about 20 minutes of battling roots, rocks, and the August heat, I said "screw this...." and went inside to change into my Macabi (one of my skirts of choice for working in)....

OOOOOHHHHHH!!!! It's like the temp from the waist down dropped 30 degrees! I'm not kidding! My legs were starting to get drenched with sweat and it wouldn't evaporate as it had nowhere to go in the pant legs.... slip on the skirt and it felt so nice! Within minutes my legs were totally cool and I was able to complete the trench in short order.

That is some seriously hard work you are doing. I can't imagine how drenched you must have been.

The humidity in the air while not visible is certainly drenching.
Take that percentage of humidity down to the dew point and you
get either fog or liquid precipitation.

Ah how grand it is to be young! Alas, my heavy digging days are over and I delegate that sort of thing nowadays. I'd just sit on the terrace, cool beer in hand and observe. :)

I think we've talked about this before, but I've never seen the video to go with it.

I wonder if any of the men decided to take up skirt wearing on a longer-term basis?

I'm not sure about the music they used in the video!

I loved their uniform. It looks very elegant for a train driver. Also noticed there were two different types of skirt, one for the driver and I guess the other one is for the technician, since it had a pocket on the side.

Good clip about the black work kilts. Fortunately I can understand the Krautinese dialogue. I've seen that video before.

Please, sir, stop sneaking up on folks with cracks like that. Fortunately I didn't have a mouthful of beer when I read that.

Overall, the thing sounded reasonably positive which is good. The skirted rigs were definitely nice.
