Ancient roman armor style skirt

Post by chevym14 »

So I wanted a skirt like fluttershy's in "harts worming eve" episode of my little pony so I started making one, this is it just ducked taped tougher, what do you think of the style of it? I may add some decorative gray stitching or something to it but i don't know yet.

you can read more about the making of it in this post

I think it looks fine.

It probably helps that you put it into a context for me, but I expect anyone who notices you in it will probably go through the following thought process:

"Whoa! What's that? I've never seen a skirt like that! I need to find out where he got it!"

Be sure to make a pattern for it when you sew it together just in case that curiosity turns into orders.

It looks surprisingly good to me.

I mean, when I first saw, "Roman armor style skirt," I thought, "Oh good grief, how can that not be trite?" But the color and the style definitely move away from epic gladiator movies and that's what makes the difference.

Just keep away from the chariot, the breastplate, and the brush helmet, eh?
