Many Sears stores are closing, but the one in my area still has a full rack of
Laura Scott 5-pocket skirts.
So I bought another one, in denim blue. I now have five: black, light tan,
dark olive, dark navy blue, and blue denim. $14.99, size 16 perfect fit.
This is my second favorite skirt after the camouflage bayou skirt from
Cabela's. I wear one or the other as often as I can get away with it.

FT, I have one like the first skirt but it cost me only £2 to £3. I have been wearing it a lot in this hot weather.

Would this type of skirt be considered a cargo skirt much like several pair of men's shorts that I have?

It's not a cargo skirt. Those always have flap pockets.
I find the flaps inconvenient and I avoid cargo pants,
cargo shorts, or cargo skirts. The LS just has straight
open pockets, two front, two back, and one watch pocket.
Incidentally, they had the five colors I mentioned, plus
white. Cute, but not for me.
If I wore a white knee-length skirt, I'd have to join the
Greek army!

Thank you for your response. Now another question which came to mind after I logged off and went about the rest of my day, do they come in plus sizes. There is still a Sears in my town so will check it out tomorrow.

Simple straight one of good quality and a generous fit. This one from Long Tall Sally is not cheap, but it is well-made and hard to fault:

I see that our Tesco is closing down their Tesco Direct web ordering service because, as they say, "We aren't making any money at it." You can still order food and a limited range of household goods, I wonder how many more will be closing their web ordering for the sane reason?
