My eldest grand-daughter, aged 13, thinks they are cool and has asked to borrow them but they are still a little big on her.
I would certainly defer to your granddaughters; we are for sure too old to be on the cusp of anything fashionable!

I disagree sir. We are surely at the cutting edge, since the second wave of designers are only now pushing skirted garments for men down the catwalk. We are the trendsetters! 8)

True; in that regard you are correct. I was really just thinking of presentation, I suppose. You don't see many semi-portly, grey-haired, bearded fashion models in their fifties on the runway. :)

I have posted a picture of me in the purple gear in the Pictures section and that includes the trainers/casual shoe/whatever. And I got past the idea of being fashionable years ago when my children told me to ditch the flared trousers with the comments that they will never come back into fashion. Rubbish, everything goes around and comes around. I do agree that we are pioneers though.

Being fashionable is all in the eye of the beholder. At the risk of sounding egotistical, I like to think I look sensational in a skirt, especially a short skirt because I've got the legs to wear them!
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.

I've seen the pic now, and the purple trainers are fine. Peace!

My fashion nerve was not always connected to the rest of my brain. When I was going out with MOH and before I married her I once met her wearing orange trainers and red socks. Well I was 20 and in love so didn't know any better.

Kiltguyire, Welcome to the family here at Skirtcafe. We are not the in your face with nasty comments you find in many such groups. :( We are friendly and happy to be in one mind about wearing skirts, kilts, and dresses. :D Some of us have great taste in matching colors others like me not so much. But we all love to hear about what you wear and how you wear it.

Fred
