Re: Model's Boyfriend Wears Skirt at Festival

Thanks for posting this (good eye). I think that, for some, the skirt is much more trendy than we give it credit. Tommy Dorfman has plenty of exposure wearing different skirted outfits. He is well known to "teens" and is a spokesperson for "ASOS x glaad" for the gender fluid reta...

Re: A missed opportunity

I can't say it was totally missed. I am thinking that just being seen is a lot. I also think that saying "because I like wearing it", or something like that, IS a good answer. People have to know that this is simply a different type of clothing, nothing more.

Re: Who's website is this?

I also tend to compliment people on their outfits (if warranted). Just the other day My wife and I were out at a restaurant bar, and met a younger couple. I complimented his jacket and that opened up a conversation. He paid for drinks for the rest of the night! I also, later, complimented the woman ...

Re: Men and ice cream

Funny thing, but my wife and I were discussing "The Road to Abilene. We have been saying it for weeks after my wife asked if I wanted to go out for ice cream. I explained it was a management concept I learned years ago called the "Abilene Paradox". When I worked for Marriott it was a ...

Re: When will men wear women's clothing...

While I'm sure we have heard this before, (and I think I saw this somewhere else on this board) I just read an article in GQ, "2019 Is the Year Men Will Start Wearing Skirts". It was pretty good. I also notice that they mention Mark Jacobs. He is a great designer (at least I think so) who ...

Re: What is your favorite skirt for flying and why?

Purple Rain kilt is my favorite for flying. I managed to buy it cheap on Poshmark though it probably is worth the money at their website. Reasons: Very light and soft, but not see through. Elastic top flexes and is easy to wear without a belt. Has pockets. Super easy on-off if changing is needed. Lo...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Hi All:

Just back from Barcelona. What a difference in weather compared to Boston!

Anyway I can conform that lots of WOMEN wear skirts there, saw no men, other than me.

I don't have a lot of photos available yet but I will update. Here is one at Park Guell.

Re: Wasn't this on Benny Hill?

From my experience, yes it is absolutely possible.. What isn't likely is a woman not breastfeeding could keep it going enough to squirt.

Re: How many is enough to normalise us?

While I have Scottish and Irish in my blood, I don't see how that has anything to do with what I wear. I have no knowledge of any historic precedents that would mean I would wear a kilt, to the contrary, I've not seen, or heard of anyone in my family wearing a kilt. I do actually like the look of ma...

Re: How many is enough to normalise us?

I got the "Bagpipes" comment just 2 weeks ago. A security guard at a shop said to me "obviously you play the bagpipes". Not sure how to respond to such a comment so I simply said "no, that is one instrument that I haven't tried".. I smiled and moved on.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Hi all: I was out on a trip to boston for 3 days (my wife had a business conference and I went along). I brought 2 skirts and one pair of pants. The pants were not worn. I figured I would test myself walking in a major city as we have a trip to Barcelona next week and I hoped to bring a few skirts. ...

Re: Can skirts coexist with a belly?

BTW, I think you look great in this outfit. I think the shirt would maybe look better if shorter, but it still looks good as is. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Skirts fit a belly a lot better than pants.: Much more comfortable and can pe pulled up as much as the hem allows. Easier to fi...

Re: Can skirts coexist with a belly?

I've found that the elastic belt made by "Tights Up" is perfect. It is thin and grips without a belt loop. I use it on pretty much every skirt and it works for me at belly level. It also comes in multi colors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010NW06F8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UT...
